Nakon nekog vremena, prilika za susret s parfumerom iz francuskog grada Grasse drastično će promijeniti njezin život: otkrila je u sebi pravi talent za stvaranje mirisa i krenuo na umjetničko olfaktarsko putovanje, što je kulminiralo svojim uspjehom u stvaranju branda. Godine 1999. Annick Goutal preminula je u dobi od 53 godine, ostavljajući za sobom ostavštinu više od 25 nezaboravnih mirisa.
